Nancy Kramer, EdD, CPNP, ARNP, CNE

Nancy Kramer is a professor and the vice chancellor of Academic Affairs at Allen College in Waterloo, Iowa. Prior to this appointment in August of 2010 she served as the dean of the School of Nursing (BSN and MSN programs). She received an EdD (Doctorate in Education-Curriculum Instruction) from University of Northern Iowa in 1996 and completed post-graduate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program from University of Iowa in 1991. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification was obtained in July 2007. Dr. Kramer has served as an item writer for NCLEX-RN and NLN standardized exams, for Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (since 2002), and for NLN-CNE (Clinical Nursing Educator) exam in 2008. She served 6 years on the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) item review committee; was an NLNAC site visitor and on the Evaluation Review Panel 2006-2008 and is currently a site visitor for CCNE. Her current teaching includes courses in the MSN-education and FNP tracks at Allen College, which includes a course in Educational Evaluation and a course in Curriculum Theory and Design in addition to a graduate level elective on the Phenomena of Change in Education and Leadership Settings as well as Family Nursing: Child and Adolescent Health. She has presented at numerous national conferences, and has several publications on topics related to curriculum and clinical teaching.
DeAnn Ambroson, PhD, RN, LMSW, COI, CNE

DeAnn Ambroson is a professor and has taught at the baccalaureate and graduate level for 15 years. Her experience includes teaching in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings, as well as the online setting. She has developed and taught multiple core courses at both the undergraduate level and the graduate level, such as Pharmacology, Advanced Nursing Research, and Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, and specialty graduate courses, including Health Care Financial Management for the MSN Leadership track and Curriculum Development and Implementation for the MSN Nurse Educator track. Additionally, she facilitates the practicum experiences for the MSN Nurse Educator students. She received her PhD (Doctorate in Counselor Education) and her MSN in 1995 from the University of Iowa, an MA (Counselor Education) from the University of Iowa in 1991, a BLS (nursing) from St. Edward's College in 1986, and an ADN from Iowa Lakes Community College in 1980. She certified as a CNE in September of 2008. Dr. Ambroson has taught at Allen College since 2002.
